Anyway, in other news, Summerstage is usually something I look forward to in NYC summer. There are usually at least a couple of dope African musicians who perform in Central Park for free over the summer and it’s always a great time to run into old friends, dance and enjoy the sunlight. Over the years, I’ve seen Femi & Seun Kuti, Asa, Angelique Kidjo, Freshly Ground, Hugh Masekela, Nas & Damian Marley [not free]… Nothing too exciting this summer. I compiled a list of Central Park shows (Summerstage) that I might check out as I see they are Afrikan-friendly:
